BJC HealthCare System?s Barnes Jewish Hospital is seeking a Full-Time Mobile CT Advanced Modality Radiology Technologist to support our Lung Van operations based at the Center for Advanced Medicine (CAM).
$5,000 Sign-on bonus eligible for qualified candidates
Position Details:
First Lung Van program in Missouri
Day Shift: Monday-Friday (4, 10-hour shifts per week), start around 6:30 a.m. with some flexibility
Full-Time (40 hours per week)
Local Travel: Travel with a provided driver to outreach sites in surrounding Missouri ( 2-4 hour drives to scan patients? lungs)
5% differential on top of base rate for CT certification
Relocation Bonus eligibility
Schedule:
Start: On-road/mobile scanning 2-3 days per week with remaining days Scanning outpatients at Center for Advanced Medicine (CAM)
Path to full mobile operation: Transition to the Lung Van for 4 days per week of travel
This role will start with on-road/mobile scanning 2-3 days per week and spend the remainder of the week at CAM scanning outpatients.
The position is designed to evolve into 4 days per week of mobile Lung Van travel
Experience/Certification:
Must be able to work independently & troubleshoot CT equipment on the Lung Van
CT experience preferred (1+ year)
CT certification (highly preferred)
Requirements:
Associate's Degree or Trade School equivalency (or higher level of education)
Certification as a Registered Technologist in Radiography - R.T.(R) and/or CT
Ideal candidate profile
Strong ability to work independently and troubleshoot
Excellent patient communication and bedside manner for diverse rural populations
Comfortable with travel and mobile imaging logistics

Preferred Qualifications
Role Purpose
Performs diagnostic imaging procedures in at least one advanced imaging modality (defined as Computed Tomography (CT), Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Interventional, Mammography, Bone Density, Cardiac Catheterization) on adults and/or pediatric patients for the purpose of diagnosis and/or treatment, and quality control.
Responsibilities
Prepares patient and equipment for procedures.
Performs studies independently, in on-call situations, portable exams, and other site as required by work area.
