Indiana University Health and Riley Children's Health is looking for passionate, recent and upcoming graduates to join our team and collaborate with top medical professionals. Positions may be available at multiple locations, with full-time, part-time, and PRN statuses, and may include day, evening, night, weekend, and rotating shifts, depending on department needs.
Performs a range of general ultrasound examinations, including limited vascular studies, pediatric exams, obstetric imaging, and procedural support, with guidance and support from experienced team members as needed. Uses ultrasound equipment to obtain images of patients' internal organs, tissues, and blood flow, while learning to evaluate image quality and make adjustments to improve clarity and accuracy. Works closely with radiologists, lead sonographers, and other healthcare professionals to support accurate diagnostic results. Communicates with patients by explaining procedures, assisting with positioning, and helping ensure a safe and comfortable experience. Learn and follow current scanning protocols, departmental policies, and quality standards, while maintaining compliance with high-level disinfection and infection prevention practices. Assists with minimally invasive and image-guided procedures as skills develop, gains exposure to ultrasound contrast indications and administration under supervision and provides intraoperative ultrasound support when requested and appropriate for training level.

For ACR accredited ultrasound departments. Requires active status through one of the following: American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS): Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer - Abdomen, RDMS(AB), Obstetrics & Gynecology, RDMS(OB/GYN), or Pediatric Sonography, RDMS(PS), and/or Registered Vascular Technologist - Vascular Technology , RVT(VT); American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT): Registered Technologist - Sonography, RT(S) or Vascular Sonography, RT(VS) ; or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI): Registered Vascular Sonographer, RVS; as required by facility accreditation, if applicable. Exception: if performing breast ultrasound only, must obtain credential through American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS): RDMS(BR); or American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT): Registered Technologist - Sonography & Breast US, RT(S)(BS), or Radiography, Mammography & Breast Ultrasound, RT(R)(M) (BS); within 18 months of hire.
